Grandma Winger's Banana Bread

1 cup packed solid and rounded up Brown Sugar
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup mashed banana
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder

Blend Sugar, margarine (or butter) and eggs. Add mashed banana and lemon juice. Blend in flower and Baking Powder and pour into well-greased bread pan. Heat at 350 degrees 45 to 60 minutes until crack in top is dry to touch or tooth pick inserted into the middle returns clean. 1/2 cup of chopped nuts may be added if desired.
