A Message from the Church Council

At the last Church Council meeting, it was discussed that the Church had met all of our apportionment payments. As I understand it the Finance Committee did a great job in taking what was gathered and re-distributing it to the necessary areas. It was also reported that the General Fund was also 'in the black' or in other words more than $0.00. This is always a good start for the New Year.

Other discussions surrounded the activities of the many committees and the events that are planned for 2002. Some of the events for February include the "Sweethearts" dinner followed the next night by the Ash Wednesday Pancake Supper and Church service.

On a personal note I will be 'flipping' pancakes at the Pancake Supper on Wednesday, February 13, 2002. So please come join us and watch me work the grille. (I will try not to burn too many!)
