Olive Branch Newsletter For May, 2002
United Methodist Men's NewsMeeting Monday, May 13th at 7:00 p.m. The men have been very busy so far this year. In April we helped trustees with the Church cleanup and with the lawnmower clinic. We will have the Spaghetti Dinner on May 18th. This is one of our best fundraisers so tell everyone you know to come out for it. The men will have tickets to hand out. Please see them soon. We always make enough for everyone. The group is continuing with the Purdue Conference series of speakers' films. This month will be Terry Teyki - Teaching Men to Pray. We are helping out the UMW for all the desserts they make for our dinners. On Saturday, May 4th we are serving coffee and drinks for the Spring Salad Luncheon and helping with cleanup. We are invited to share the program and food, too. Our fundraisers enable us to help support the work of the church. This month we donated $300.00 to the furniture fund for the UMW. Everyone needs to pitch in on this project so we can get it moving. If you haven't tried UMM, we meet the second Monday of each month and we may try a Saturday breakfast in the summer if there is an interest. Let one of the men know if you are interested.
